Job Description

Senior Consultant – Corporate Pre Sales

Experience:

  • 3-4 years of IT experience in Presales, Business Development or Marketing
  • 1+ years of pre-sales experience (With experience in managing RFX and proposals)

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Leading a pursuit team for major bids – Responsibility for the quality and consistency of all proposals under management.
  • Understand if we meet the minimum eligibility criteria &  Client reference requirements laid out by the customer in RFI or RFP doc & the evaluation criteria.
  • Contribution to win strategy/themes and storyboard along with the Sales/CS team wherever possible to maximize our chance of winning and to identify any key differentiators.
  • Prepare first draft of the Executive summary based on the win themes and key differentiators shared by the CSM/Sales Mgr.
  • Ensure Legal review of the Terms & Conditions – Invoicing terms, Payment & contractual terms, SLA’s, Penalty clause etc. Prepare Legal review template and share it with the Legal & Contracts team within the first 3 days of release of the RFP/RFX.
  • Preparation of Bid plan clearly outlining the roles & responsibilities of all the stakeholders along with the timeline for completion. Tracking and updating the bid plan regularly based on the progress of the response and identifying gaps. Raise red flag with the CSM/Sales Mgr if things are not progressing well and if proposal deliverables are not getting completed on time.
  • Track initiation and approval of both Legal review & Deal review in the bid plan. Legal review needs to be initiated within first 3 days of release of the RFX.
  • Preparation of bid summary deck for all formal RFP’s and competitive bids where client has shared the functional, Technical requirements, SLAs, Timeline & Evaluation criteria etc in detail.
  • Creation of Distribution list and setting up of daily sync up calls to track the progress of the response/proposal until submission.
  • Proposal production & collation based on inputs provided by  Solution Architect , Project manager, Sales lead/Client services and other stakeholders as per agreed timelines.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge repository of all reusable content, FAQs, Case studies and Editable diagrams.
  • Create good visuals and images required for the proposal in line with the client requirements or based on the inputs provided by the Architect, CSM and PM.
  • Document the minutes and key action items coming out of all the Sync up/Daily check point calls and track them to closure.
  • Identifying the Bill of Material along with the Project Manager (Primary owner) for all Software & Hardware requirements. Getting the pricing for Software & Hardware is the responsibility of the CSM/Sales Exec.
  • Liaison with software partners/channels whom we might be partnering with for Hardware, Software etc for hardware sizing, licensing structure. The primary responsibility for this lies with the Sales/CS Manager, they are supposed to get the pricing & commercial details from the partner.
  • Proper formatting & aesthetics of the proposal- Spell check, Grammar check, Line spacing, Alignment etc.
  • Learn Solutioning/Solution integration and work on the first draft of the Pricing/CM sheet for the RFP/proposal (PM – Primary owner for CM sheet).
