MANAGER – CREDIT
Applicants should possess a degree from a recognized university or a professional qualification from an institute of Banking or Finance, with a minimum of (7) seven years’ work experience in banking, finance or leasing. Experience in credit appraisal and evaluation are pre-requisites. A minimum three years’ work experience in an executive capacity is expected.
The responsibilities of this job include the following:
- Review and develop credit policies to suite the strategic objectives of the Company
- Design and implement a pragmatic credit evaluation process
- Evaluate and approve credit proposals ensuring the credit risk of the company is minimized
- Provide guidance on appropriate collaterals and recovery mechanisms
- Effective reporting and develop assessment tools to minimize risk and proactively identify problem areas
Applicants should be below 45 years of age, with strong communication, organizational and inter-personal skills. The ability to work independently and under pressure, a high degree of personal discipline and integrity with good credit evaluation back ground will be key criteria required to function in this position. Job entails traveling, where necessary.
The selected candidate should be able to liaise with all levels of management, make quick decisions. The person should also have an aptitude to work in an electronically networked and integrated systems environment.
