Listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange since 1983, Aitken Spence PLC is a diversified conglomerate with over 18 sector operations in six countries covering South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

We seek services of a self-motivated, dynamic individual to join us in the following capacity.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate should be qualified in CIMA, ICASL or ACCA.
• A minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar capacity and experience in managing finance related matters are essential.
• The individual will be based overseas and should be a team player who is capable of meeting strict deadlines, working long hours under pressure as and when required.

Main duties include;

• Preparing financial statements

• Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
• Formulating strategic and long-term business plans.
• Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance.
• Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Liaising with external auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as the Inland Revenue.
• Arranging new sources of finance for a company’s debt facilities.
