Full-Time Software Engineer – Applied R & D

Job Description

You will be part of small, highly skilled research team, and be responsible for researching and bringing in relevant technology into the work and deliver the proof of concepts and solutions. The domain focuses on processing content in high performance environment and using the technologies and libraries for Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, multi-core, multi-threaded programming and keeping performance and scale as high priority, which will yield near real time processing of the generated content. You will be predominantly using Java, in addition to Python, D3js, node.js and any relevant technologies that help to address the problem space.

Responsibilities

  • You will be exploring on newer technologies that would serve purpose on building solutions in the research area.

  • You will rebound if you get to the roadblock in your research area and pursue in different direction. Basically, failing fast will help in going in right direction

  • You will be building new approaches, exploring optimization on the cost per transaction.

  • You will be expected to be more creative and being innovative, questioning the fundamentals.

  • You will also be responsible for testing the solutions and commit on bug-free solutions.

  • You will provide user training and technical support.

  • You will assist in publication of papers and applications for patents.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

 

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience.
  • You have experience in Java or C++, node.js, Python, linux scripts and Web technologies.
  • Experience or familiarity in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
  • Experience or familiarity in NoSQL Databases.
  • Experience in Cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of semantic search technologies (ontology generation and usage)
  • Experience in NLP techniques, apply machine learning techniques for information retrieval problem solving like Query Expansion and Relevance Feedback
