Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Notarial Clerk preferably in Bank or Financial Institute.
Special Skills
Computer literacy including typing skills in both English and Sinhala languages.
Interpersonal skills
Communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Job Profile
- Conduct title Searches in island wide Land Registries and prepare pedigrees about the history of records of title. Obtain certified extracts of the relevant Folios from land registries and maintain necessary internal registers in connection therewith.
- Attend to due registration of all Original Mortgage Bonds over movable and immovable properties, other related deeds executed as security for facilities granted by the bank at relevant institutions such as Land Registry and the Registrar General’s Department and dispatch the same to relevant departments Obtain certified extracts of the Folios in which the mortgage bonds in favour of Nations Trust Bank is registered.
- Maintain separate registers for the registration of Mortgage Bonds over movable and immovable properties
- Ensure timely payments to be made to outside parties whose services are rendered by the Documentation Unit with regard to Land Registry work.
- File the monthly lists together with the duplicate deeds of the lawyers in the Documentation Unit in the relevant Land Registries on or before the due dates.
