Software Engineer – J2EE/Java

The successful candidate will play an important role in the development, enhancement and maintenance of an enterprise level software application.

Applicants should demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in design/development of Java/J2EE based systems.
  • At least 1 year working experience and good knowledge in JSP, Hibernate 3, JAVA Servlets
  • Experience in various IDEs such as JPad Pro, Eclipse, Net Beans, JDeveloper etc
  • Experience in Data Modeling, Database Design and Development including ER Diagrams, PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Experience in using version control systems [SubVersion]

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or related area
  • Professional certifications in Java and Oracle will be an added  advantage
  • Must be self-motivated and work with minimum supervision to achieve deadlines
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and presentational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in a team oriented development environment is a plus
  • Experience in enterprise scale application development / maintenance
  • Ability to grasp business and technical context
  • Ability to understand and apply design patterns
  • Must be able to apply engineering processes and standards to achieve high quality
