Opportunity

A large US asset-management company plans to transition some of its ongoing projects, including investment cases, from an existing vendor to Copal Amba. The asset-management company plans to leverage the Copal Amba team for the production of a steady stream of investor material based on the company’s planned priorities for the calendar year 2015 and beyond.

The role will involve the following:

  • Creating quarterly reports on 45+ ETFs, including fund commentaries, performance reports, GURU reports, and income reports
  • Investment-case updates (annual updates)
  • Whitepapers – Thematic whitepaper discussions based on the company’s ETF themes
  • Web content management – Timely updates to 30+ mini websites (including links to relevant third-party research material, videos, etc.) on an ongoing basis
  • Ongoing ad-hoc reports – Support for quick release of ongoing reports based on key headlines (such as ETF industry inflows) that affect the company’s ETFs
  • Product development support – Back-testing strategies using FactSet PA and other support for product development

Required background

  • Two to five years of experience in writing investment commentaries and factsheets and editing performance reports within the asset-management industry
  • Knowledge and interest in the asset- and wealth-management industries and familiarity with industry jargon
  • Familiarity with the financial services market
  • A strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and a proven capacity to work effectively with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • Strong communication, writing, analytical, and organisational skills
  • An excellent command of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Strong team-player skills and the ability to work independently
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to strict deadlines and producing quality work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • A high level of comfort in dealing with all levels of management

  • A university degree
