Commercial Procurement Trainee
Role profile
- Process Purchase requisitions of internal customers.
- Analyze specifications and consolidate requirements for inviting quotations from relevant suppliers.
- Prepare commercial evaluations and obtain approvals from relevant budget holders.
- Negotiate with suppliers on potential cost reduction prior to awarding.
- Raise purchase orders (PO) , obtain approvals for POs and follow-up on deliveries.
- Maintain up to date records of supplier database and scout for new potential suppliers.
- Responsible for tracking timely deliveries of orders and ensure the supporting documents are available for supplier payments.
- Generate monthly reports on savings and open POs.
- Assist Procurement Manager on day to day operations
Personal Profile
- GCE Advanced Level – in the core subjects.
- Diploma level qualification in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Material Management/ Business Management OR part qualification in CIMA/ACCA/CIM/ SLIM or equivalent
- Age below 25 years Good command of the English language (both written and verbal)
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills Energetic, fast learner with a positive attitude
