Opportunity

Business Development supports Asset & Wealth Management in its sales initiatives, which are focused on maintaining existing and developing new business relationships via the request-for-proposal (RFP) process for retail and institutional investors. During the RFP process, Business Development coordinates and drafts responses to investor questionnaires (e.g. client requests), surveys, etc. that are investments and/or company-specific for products manufactured either in Europe, the Americas, or Asia and distributed globally.

 

What the role will involve

  • Preparing RFPs and questionnaires for institutional, retail, and HNW investors for active, passive, and alternative investments
  • Liaising with Sales, Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other departments and with product specialists, as needed
  • Assisting with quantitative and qualitative data requests from internal and external business partners
  • Coordinating data fact-checking and the proofing of all responses
  • Answering ad hoc requests
  • Maintaining the existing RFP content database (Proposal Software)
  • Assisting in streamlining RFP content via the RFP content database
  • Preparing MIS metrics reporting
  • Additional responsibilities or projects might be assigned from time to time

 

Required background

  • A full/part qualification in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme
  • Knowledge and interest in the asset and wealth management industry and familiarity with industry jargon
  • Familiarity with the financial-services market
  • A strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and a proven capacity to work effectively with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
  • 3-5 years of experience in answering and editing RFPs, preferably in the asset management industry
  • Strong communication, writing, analytical, and organisational skills
  • An excellent command of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Strong team-player skills and the ability to work independently
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to strict deadlines and producing quality work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A high level of comfort in dealing with all levels of management
  • A university degree
