Opportunity

 

An economic research analyst will analyze micro and macro economic topics in order to produce reports and recommendations oriented toward equity investment. The analyst will have prior experience in developing econometric models, analysis and forecasts of macro-economic variables and writing reports on macro events, countries and regions.

Required Background

  • Masters or Bachelor in Economics/Econometrics
  • Flawless written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills with a proven ability to independently assess and drive decisions
  • Should have the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of management and across the organization
  • Possess a strong work ethic and have absolute attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel/Familiarization with Statistical packages (STATA, MATLAB, EViews)
  • Comfortable with economics/industry databases
  • Prior experience in working as an Economist at a bank or brokerage, as well as overseas experience, will be an added advantage
