Role profile

  • Influencing the Site Leadership Team and line managers at site to effectively prioritize and support the delivery of required compliance training activities against their own priorities.
  • Working closely with the ‘Global Compliance Training Manager’ in GMS HR to understand the broader GMS & GSK initiatives being driven in respect of compliance training.
  • Developing strong relationships with ‘Curriculum Owners’ at site, namely in EHS and Quality to ensure curricula for all roles have been effectively defined and are subsequently maintained on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment at site influencing ‘Site Training Co-ordinators’ and ‘Workplace Trainers’ that may be out of the roles direct control, and ensuring they adhere to required standards and support required activities and initiatives.

Personal Profile

  • A degree/professional qualification in science specialised in Chemistry/ Microbiology with at least five years experience working in a Pharmaceutical-manufacturing environment.
  • A Master of Science (MSc.) qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing sites, and the requirements of their external regulators.
  • Strong knowledge of the QMS, specifically the Global Quality Policies and Guidelines for training.
  • Sound knowledge of ‘audit’ requirements from a training perspective within the pharmaceutical     business.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels and across functions.
  • Sound knowledge of standard desktop applications
  • Age below 35 years
