Full-Time Cutting Manager – Thihariya

Cutting Manager
Job Role
- Managing all the operations in the cutting department, attending to all technical and administrative issues, coordinating with other departments and the management and advising the team to ensure all issues related to the cutting process are resolved effectively and efficiently in the respective plant.
Key Tasks
- Refer to the master detail plan, sales orders, production orders, and prepare the cutting plan in order to ensure optimum utilisation of cutting capacities thereby meet production requirements
- Follow up operations within the Cut Kit Area / Market Place to ensure that all component and trims (Cut Kit) required for completing a style are available to sewing lines
- Conduct the daily load levelling meeting in order to communicate daily production requirements according to the loading plan to the relevant teams
- Liaise with production lines in order to determine actual component consumption per day in order to reduce the incidence of downtime
- Coordinate / Communicate with subcontracted manufacturing units, maintain records of all goods sent to subcontractors and compare same on receipt of completed garments
- Liaise with respective parties (i.e. Production, QA) to identify issues and implement systems and reveal root causes to prevent recurrence of such issues
- Ensure all health & safety requirments are carried out within area of preview
Personal Profile
- A degree or Diploma in Textile and Clothing Technology or Industrial Engineering from a recognized institute
- Thorough understanding of overall production processes
- Good communication and people handling skills
- (Five (05) years experience in the cutting department and out of which three (03) years experience in a similar capacity together with in depth knowledge in handling both woven and knit fabrics
- Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines.
