Full-Time Post of Internal Audit Manager
Job Description
Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of 07 years experience in a Bank / Financial Institution or an Audit Division of which at least 03 years must be at an Assistant Manager level.
- 02 years experience in having undertaken credit related audits such as SME Credit, Corporate Banking, Credit Risk Management, Leasing and Factoring and related support functions.
- Experience in Auditing, Branch operations, a Diploma in Credit Risk Management and working with the Bank’s core systems would be an added advantage.
OR
- A minimum of 06 years experience in a Bank / Financial Institution or an Audit Division of which at least 02 years must be at an Assistant Manager level.
- 02 years experience in credit related activities or having undertaken credit related audits such as SME Credit, Corporate Banking, Credit Risk Management, Leasing and Factoring and related support functions.
- A Full/part qualification in Banking (Completion of at least 4 subjects at DBF level) or CIMA/CIM/ACCA/ACA (completion of the 3rd stage)/ Degree
Special Skills
- Overall knowledge of Key departments of the bank, operational knowledge of various retail and corporate banking products.
- Analytical skills to evaluate Credit related procedures and highlight risks / suggest suitable and viable cost effective mitigants.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills as well as the ability to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision and within the stipulated timeframe.
- Leadership skills / Eye for detail / foresee future risks etc…
Job Profile
- Conduct routine audits and spot checks to ensure risks are assessed and controlled and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct operational audits of assigned departments and Branches to ensure risks are assessed and controlled and comply with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct internal investigations, prepare and submit comprehensive reports on findings with recommendations.
- Submit Management information on completed audits in an effective manner with recommendations for corrective actions and qualitative improvements.
- Ensure that controls are adequate in new products and procedures introduced from time to time by the business units.
- Ensure implementation of audit recommendations and draw attention to any failure to take remedial action.
