Designation – Division Manager, Raw Materials

Responsibilities

• Partner with New York Raw Material and Design teams on the development of fabric each season. Ensuring that fabric, color and prints are approved in region, in line with the business calendar
• Identify key suppliers for effective/strategic partnerships and develop new fabrics which are both technically and commercially viable
• Partner with production and sourcing teams on calendar and lead-times to facilitate speed and quick response of raw materials
• Support the sourcing strategies to ensure adequate capacity planning and forecasting of relevant fabric qualities to meet production needs. Ensuring consistency of product and a commitment to quality within the vendor base.
• Manage resource to focus on key developments and ensure timely availability of materials for bulk execution. Communicate all relevant fabric information and action plans to the business
• Establish /maintain supplier performance matrix. Target to improve overall supplier performance and optimize communication effectiveness while delivering cost savings
• Lead 6 associates developing the technical and soft skills of the raw material team

Qualifications

• Degree in textile technology or appropriate discipline.
• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience with 5 years at managerial level.
• A strong leader to inspire and develop a team of 6 associates.
• Fluent in English.
