Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Data center consolidation support including working with customers to evaluate, design and plan out consolidation activities as needed.
Frequent interaction with a variety of other technical support personnel and will also need to interact with customers during major issues or implementation planning.
Implement new technical solutions for the business lines, using best practices
Use system monitoring tools and processes to allow proactive maintenance and support of the network and systems for 24×7 availability
Requirements
Experience with installation, configuration and maintenance Windows 2008 and 2012 Servers.
Knowledge of various enterprise storage and system backup concepts.
Overall understanding of IT systems and services including all aspects from hardware through software and the processes that support them.
Ability to work with:
Active Directory – Schema, Domain Trust, Site & Services, Security
Active Directory – DNS, DHCP, Replication, Group Policy, ADFS & SSO
Windows Cluster
Virtualization: VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V
Qualification
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar discipline.
2 years of experience working with servers, networking, storage (Microsoft and VMware) infrastructure environment.
Certified with MCSA /MCSE/ MCT.
VCP (Server Virtualization) will be added advantage.
Virtual machines across distributed Development, Test and Production environments.
Strong basic system administration experience (Windows).
Strong requirements planning and project implementation skills as well as the ability to work with internal technical staff and outside contractors to deliver results.
Experience in implementing best-practice processes and procedures.
Self-motivated and self-managed skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage projects.
Ability to work both independently and as team member.
