Senior Engineer – Mobile

Core Competencies:

· Mobile app development (>3 years experience)

· Hands on experience building apps for either Android or iOS (preferably both)

· Knowledge of both native and hybrid technologies (experience in both preferable)

· Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and good problem solving skills

Key Technologies (proven experience in any of these mobile technologis):

· Xamarin (preferable)

· Mobile hybrid technologies (Cordova, Angular, Ionic, Bootstrap, CSS3)

· Native mobile technologies (Android, iOS)

· Experience in backend technologies (both Java and .NET) is preferable

Other Traits:

· Fluent and effective communication skills

· Self-managed

· Highly-motivated team player

· Ability to deliver under tight deadlines

· Leadership skills

Responsibilities:

· Ensure on-time delivery

· Propose designs and take part in design discussions

· Identify, highlight and manage project risks and issues

· Adhere to the Virtusa process and client regulatory requirements

· Follow industry best practices for coding and ensure adherence to design standards and guidelines of the client and Virtusa

· Provide support in implementing pre-sales POCs and client demos

· Engage in research and development activities

Qualifications:

· A degree in IT from a recognized university
