Designation: Executive – Product Development Technologist

Key Responsibilities; As an Executive – Product Development Technologist of the Product Development Centre you would be required to interpret customer designs, garment breakdown, assess machinery requirements and follow up the sample development process in order to ensure individual garments are cost and production viable.

You would also be required to:

• Coordinate with patternmaker to assess individual proto-type designs, prepare operation break downs and assess machinery requirement in order to support the sample development process and to initiate costing process
• Communicate with the customer, clarify issues in order to ensure the fit process is in line with critical path for bulk production
• Set quality standards for individual operations in order to ensure the bulk production is as the customer requirement
• Attend fit meetings in order to assess or alter fit garments
• Prepare relevant documents such as follows in order to provide information for relevant departments • Component Usage Sheets • Construction Breakdown • Customer Component Sheet • Style files • Fit evaluation/ comment sheet
• Conduct pre-production meetings / pilot appraisals / training meetings / monitor bulk production processes and resolve production issues in order to maintain correct method and quality as per customer requirements

 Qualifications and Experience;  

• B.Sc. Engineering Degree with 2 years’ experience or Diploma in Textile Technology with 5 years’ experience.
• Excellent Communication Skills, Negotiation Skills & Business Management Skills.
