Job Title-Senior Manager Compliance (Corporate & Institutional Clients)

Our Client Our client is among one of the most preferred commercial banks in Sri Lanka operating in different countries.

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum of 05 years’ relevant practice in legal, compliance and regulatory risk management.
  • Substantial experience in the banking industry, including demonstrated success in a similar role
  • Strategic vision for the function.
  • Advanced knowledge in risk identification, risk assessment, controls development, training, monitoring and reporting.
  • Technical knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the Corporate and Institutional clients business with advanced ability to analyse the same and co-relate regulatory issues to products and business models.
  • Sound understanding of the principles of financial crime Compliance, and the Bank’s AML and sanctions controls.

Job Role

  • Compliance leadership of the Corporate and Institutional Clients segment, through the development of an overall strategy.
  • Delivering appropriate legal and regulatory guidance, and the establishment of an integrated programmer.
  • Support the Group and function’s refreshed strategy, One Bank commitment and strategic aspirations, including raising the bar on conduct, promotion of global standards and demonstrating we are here for good, with a dedicated focus on the Corporate Institutional Client segment.

Personal Attributes and skills

  • Sharp business insight (including ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return), strong leadership qualities, proven record of relationship building with a spectrum of stakeholders, excellent and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Advanced leadership and management skills.
