Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Description of the position: The Cost Controller will follow-up the analytical accounting; assure a forward looking perspective; establish analytical tools and the financial reporting to mother companies.

Based in: Colombo the project duration of about 3 years

Mobility: Probably few travels to Matale

Qualifications and experience

• University degree in Finance / Cost Control (ACCA should be a plus)
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Large International Project in water/wastewater/Construction industry.
• Excellent command over written and spoken English
• Strong skills in MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel (especially) and ERP software (preferably JD Edwards)
• Willingness to work in an International Project Team and in a challenging environment (size of the project, multi-cultural aspect, …)

Job Role

• Coordinate the accountant’s tasks
• Check the invoices relative to the project activity (included invoices from Mother Companies)
• Ensure the budget control
• Ensure the planning of costs and incomes in the budget
• Check invoices and costs imputations
• Realize management table in order to prepare the project financial monthly report
• Enter, follow-up and update the budgets in the management software Latis (JD Edwards ERP)
• Ensure budget and analytical tools up-date
• Follow-up the payments
• Follow-up the overdue
• Boost orders for payment
• Ensure the Cash Flow is followed-up and forecasted
• Other punctual missions according to CFO’s or Project Management requirements
