Opportunity
Owing to the rapid expansion of our business, we are looking for individuals to join our Editorial team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Candidates must have personal drive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to take ownership of their work, and be prepared to excel in an intense, high-pressure environment.
The role will involve
- Ensuring reports meet international standards and are clear, concise, and accurate
- Editing investment research reports and presentations for content, style and language, liaising closely with analysts to produce a high-quality product
- Checking final documents to ensure that all information is clear and accurate, both in terms of language and consistency of data
- Making sure tables/graphics are laid out according to guidelines
Candidates will ideally need to have
- The willingness to work US/UK hours
- A professional/postgraduate qualification in English/Mass Communications/Journalism or Business/ Finance/ Economics
- Excellent English editing skills with proven ability to improve the quality of work under tight deadlines, and the ability to handle multiple research reports
- Minimum of one to two years of editing experience in a similar capacity required. Prior exposure to financial market reports/investor communications/market updates will be an added advantage
- Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- Keen attention to detail and the motivation to improve skill set
- The ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team
- The willingness to continually learn new financial concepts and expand knowledge base
